Welcome to our Meeting
Welcome to a Quaker Meetinghouse! You're invited to join us for silent worship, where we seek guidance from the Spirit and welcome all, regardless of background or faith, to participate in our community.
Here's a little more about what you can expect:
Silent Worship:
Quaker Meetings for worship are characterized by a period of silence, where individuals are encouraged to listen for inner guidance and messages from the Spirit.
No Formal Structure:
There are no ministers, set prayers, hymns, or sermons. Anyone who feels led may share a message or vocal ministry during the Meeting.
Inclusive Community:
Quakers believe in the presence of the Divine in each person and welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and spiritual paths.
Plain Dress:
Quakers traditionally believe in plain dress, which means you can wear comfortable, everyday clothing.
After the Meeting:
You're welcome to stay for fellowship and refreshments after the Meeting, where you can learn more about Quakerism and the community.
